The American Residential Design Awards (ARDA) is the American Institute of Building Design’s premier award program exhibiting design excellence in the residential building industry. It spotlights the nation’s most creative and innovative residential designers, builders, remodelers, architects, developers, land planners, and interior designers. Cobblestone is honored to win the award for National Architectural Design.
Since 2002 Cobblestone has built every single home Energy Star Certified. In fact, we exceed Energy Star requirements. But don’t take our word for it. We use independent inspectors to certify the rigid Energy Star specifications. That way you know that you are getting a home that is high-performance, comfortable, durable, and healthy. We are honored this year to receive the Residential New Construction Market Leader Award.

Relying exclusively on Dow’s building solutions, we were the only builder in Michigan to receive this award in recognition of significantly reducing home energy costs.

Cobblestone was one of only 10 homebuilders nationwide to receive this DOE award for energy efficiency benchmarks and leadership. We found that attention to detail in those plans translates to a better understanding for our homeowners.
Being in the national spotlight for the beautiful homes we create reminded us that we can do many innovative things to make a high-performance house. However, it’s our craftsmanship that makes it feel like home.

Using everything we knew, we dialed in our processes so all our homes will perform the way we engineer them. No matter what features you choose in your home, you can rely on our craftsmen to build to high-quality standards.
LEED Houses are healthier. LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for high-performance “green” buildings.
We earned this recognition by researching and developing solutions that helped make our homes healthier. We were the only recipient in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Achieving this taught us how to plan to minimize waste, which puts more of your investment into your home instead of into a dumpster.
State-awarded grant helps showcase the advantages of energy efficient homes and helps educate other homebuilders.
With this commitment, we set the precedent to which area homebuilders would aspire. (Our standards today are much higher than was necessary in 2005.)
