With over a decade of experience at Cobblestone, Matt Sheahan can explain to you everything there is to know about creating your home. He was previously a Lead Builder, where he learned the ins and outs of the building process. Along the way, he became an expert in the many features of Cobblestone homes. He holds a degree in Business Management.

Helping people has always been in Marshall Mannion’s DNA, from being a Surgical Technologist to working with families at Cobblestone. His hands-on experience rebuilding, renovating and selling homes in the Great Lakes Bay Region gives him the knowledge to help you build your dream home.

As soon as you meet Design Consultant Melissa Stuart, it is clear she is passionate about creating a home where you will enjoy growing with your family. Melissa received her degree from Lawrence Tech and has a diverse background in architecture and art. With over 15 years experience in the design field, Melissa’s communication skills and attention to detail make building your dream home enjoyable.

Becky helps Cobblestone clients bring their vision to life with confidence and creativity. With over 20 years in real estate and a Master’s Degree, she understands how to balance design with real-world function. Becky brings a polished eye and practical experience to every project. Outside of work, Becky enjoys life to the fullest with her husband and three kids, traveling, boating, golfing, snowmobiling, trail riding and tackling DIY projects
Selections Coordinator Assistant
With a keen eye for interiors and a passion for personal connection, Abby Debo brings warmth and creativity to every project. A graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, Abby gained valuable experience at Pinnacle Design and Heather Nicole Kitchens before joining the Cobblestone team. She enjoys helping clients bring their vision to life—and when she’s not designing, she loves spending time with family and friends.
Lead Builder
Brian Finkbeiner understands the importance of customer service as well as he understands homebuilding. Before working at Cobblestone, Brian worked in the restaurant business, which is all about customer service. Brian also is intimately familiar with the entire construction process. He earned a degree in Construction Management.
Lead Builder
Chris Smith has an extensive background in leadership that serves him well as a lead builder for Cobblestone. He earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Northwood University and has experience as a site supervisor and lead carpenter. Chris also served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning multiple honors and accolades.

Nick Pratt has two degrees, one in Construction Management and another in Business. Perhaps it’s more relevant, though, that he worked in the skilled trades industry. Nick knows homebuilding from the perspective of a skilled craftsman as well as from a project manager. Nick’s customers always praise his skills at communicating with them throughout the project.
LEAD BUILDER ASSISTANT
With a strong background in hands-on construction, Austin Champman brings years of real-world experience to every Cobblestone project. He began working in the building trades at 18, gaining a wide range of skills while working for established builders and independently. Currently, Austin is focusing on homebuilding and specializing in interior finishes. His dedication, craftsmanship, and deep understanding of the building process make him an essential part of the Cobblestone team.
Lead Builder Assistant
Born and raised in Midland, Luke Schaefer found his passion for building early, helping his father on job sites before he could read. With over 30 years of experience in residential construction—including 15 years in Colorado as a foreman, project manager, and business owner—Luke brings expert knowledge from foundation to finish. After returning to Midland, he built his forever home on family land along the Chippewa River. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife Cortney and their three children, along with hunting, fishing, and working outdoors. He’s proud to be part of the Cobblestone team.
Lead Builder Assiastant
Lucas began his construction career at Three Rivers Corporation, a respected Midland-based firm known for its full-service approach to building and design. He attended the GMCA Construction Academy for three years and later worked as a union framer in Ann Arbor. Now as Lead Builder Assistant, Lucas brings his expertise to Cobblestone, helping build the highest quality homes.
Client Experience Field Manager
Joe Aspin grew up in the building industry learning to do everything from plumbing to framing from the ground up. That experience gives him an intimate understanding of the most efficient and best ways to construct each project. Joe is the third generation in a family affiliated with the construction business and enjoys finding creative ways to help home owners build their dream home.
Cobblestone Commercial
Matt Schauman leads light commercial projects for Cobblestone. He represents the 4th generation in his family to work in the building industry. Matt holds a degree in Construction Management from Central Michigan University, his studies also included survey engineering and architecture.

With over 30 years of building industry experience in everything from manufacturing to material supply chain, Dustin Weinzierl brings a wealth of knowledge to every build. Dusty understands the Cobblestone experience and prides himself on keeping your project on time and on budget.
Director of Purchasing
Allec LaVielle, Director of Purchasing, is committed to meeting customer expectations. His previous experience in industrial manufacturing helps keep materials on time and within budget. Graduating from Northwood University with a business degree concentration in Finance keeps his focus on finding value and savings for our customers. Allec lives in Saginaw Township with his family and their two dogs.
Estimator
Estimator Kevin Grudzinski gives homeowners a promise for what it will cost to build and power their homes. Cobblestone never gives estimates. Instead, Cobblestone commits to a final home price before the building begins. They also give homeowners the promise of the home’s performance rating. Kevin is the key to making that promise. After a 20-year career working in sales and management for the construction supply industry, Kevin knows materials. He earned a degree in Construction Management from Central Michigan University. Kevin is actively involved through the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Director of Client Experience
Ashley Semp, Director of Client Experience, will be with you the day you move into your home. And she’ll still be available years later if any questions arise. We call this after-purchase service “Cobblestone Care.” Through this program, Ashley is responsible for troubleshooting any issues that come up. She handles all the important details, like reminding homeowners when it’s time to change the furnace filter. Having been with Cobblestone for almost a decade, Ashley understands how to match expectations and experiences. Most of our business is referrals, and Ashley is a major reason for it.
Office Manager
When you walk into Cobblestone, you can expect to be greeted by our friendly, organized office manager, Thressa Irish. Her background in business management and customer service keeps Cobblestone running smoothly. She also heads up management of our executive lease program. Outside of work, Thressa enjoys spending time with her fiancé, their twin girls and her horses.

Shelby Wahl is an enthusiastic presence at Cobblestone Homes, where she’s been immersed since childhood. Her role is vital, bringing a youthful perspective to Cobblestone Homes. Growing up on job sites and in meetings, Shelby has developed a deep appreciation for what building homes means to our customers. Her involvement is a testament to the importance of nurturing passion and dedication from a young age in any business.
Controller
Controller Shawn Boelter’s job is to make sure everything comes together – bank paperwork and real estate transaction details – before a family’s move-in date. She helps Cobblestone families navigate the financial details of building a home. You can rest easy at night knowing Shawn is on your team and protecting your investment.
Bookkeeper
Bookkeeper Kristina Stainsby knows that a sharp eye for detail is essential in her role at Cobblestone. With a degree in Business Management, five years of banking experience, and over a decade in customer service, Kristina knows that accuracy is vital for our clients. When not balancing numbers, she spends time with her husband and three girls.
